Mini-Dish is a term that takes root in the old fashioned C-Band satellite systems. These large satellite dishes popped up all over suburban America in the 90's, and are often as large as 12 feet tall, making it quite obvious why the small dishes used today are called mini-dish systems. Standard DIRECTV programming requires a round 18" mini-dish, which is included in a standard professional installation.
Our satellites are "parked" over Texas, so it is absolutely necessary that your mini-dish has a clear view of the Texas sky (ex., in Ohio, the SW sky). Your dish can be mounted on your house, on a pole in your yard, or even on a bracket connected to your balcony. Our technicians will do all they can to provide you with a creative solution to install your DIRECTV service*.
*For those who rent, lanlord permission is required before a technician can install your DIRECTV mini-dish system
